  The media over the years has become a less trusted institution by the people as the media has had a hand in the increased polarization of the political landscape. Whether its covering the election, the pandemic, or any conflict such as January 6th, there is a glaring difference in the ways news networks develop and broadcast stories. These discrepancies are often in part due to political opinions becoming more apparent in the media which has led to the media pushing their own narratives rather than focusing on getting the facts of the story straight.
