Media Discrepancy on the Voiding of the Transportation Mask Mandate
On Monday, April 18th, a Federal Judge struck down the national mask mandate for mass transportation which led airlines and airports to quickly repeal their requirements for their passengers to wear masks, and the TSA stated that they would no longer enforce the mask requirement. The topic of masks has always been a political discussion, so naturally the media reacted to this news differently with Fox news celebrating this ruiling while MSNBC took this news with a more skeptical reaction. Fox played MSNBC's reaction and was critical on what the network said calling that many on the left have latched on to masks as an identity component, and that they can still wear masks if they want to so there is no reason to get upset about the mandate being lifted. MSNBC though stated that they wish the ruiling had came from the CDC and not from a Federal Judge. The network called out the fact that the mandate was lifted during the middle of many flights, and that some people with low immune systems only went on the flight because of the mask mandate, so they became compromised as a result.
